Broadway Electrical provided the turnkey design and installation of a 425kW photovoltaic (PV) energy system at Alpha Grainger Manufacturing’s facility in Franklin, Massachusetts. The PV System is comprised of 1,575 Suntech 270W modules mounted on the building’s 90,000 sf roof. Broadways also installed four (4) 100kW Satcon Solstice inverters, 16 Solstice circuit combiner boxes, miscellaneous conduit and wire, data acquisition system with reporting capability, an AC Utility PV disconnect switch, interconnection meter (revenue grade), and a new main disconnect switch. The system is expected to generate 481,525 kilowatts of energy per hour every year, which is estimated to save Alpha Grainger $72,000 annually.
